My favorite sessions are designed to make you feel beautiful and worry free by helping out with anything you might be worried about leading up to the day of your shoot, like taking care of your makeup so you don’t have to and giving you professional hairstyles so you feel totally confident in front of the camera. Length of Sessions & Number of Outfits:

Sessions usually include 2 to 3 hours of shooting time. This is an average and not a limit. This includes basic outfit changes and a certain amount of travel, but does not include the time needed for makeup and hairstyling. So the shooting time for stylized sessions will be significantly stretched out to allow for pre-shoot pampering and mid-shoot style changes. There is also no limit on the number of outfits, but anywhere from four to seven outfits is typical. The Simple Experience is the only exception.

I have a very specific goal in mind for the senior sessions I offer – to emphasize all the joy and excitement while eliminating all the things that might cause you to feel stressed. The best images require a lot of attention to detail, including your makeup, your hairstyling and your outfit choices to name just a few. I’m here to make sure you have all the help you need with these details so you feel confident in front of the camera. Of course, as the photographer, I am also responsible for finding the best locations, helping you pose in a flattering and natural way and using the best lighting to make your images look magical. Do I really need professional makeup for my photo shoot?

The quality of your makeup is one of the most important factors that can assure you are happy with your final images. Most girls are familiar with how to apply makeup for everyday use, but applying makeup for a photo shoot is different. Camera ready makeup is focused on evening out skin tones and accentuating the contours of the face to make every feature look its best. Without excellent makeup to carefully accent your eyes, lips, cheek bones, jaw line, etc, your images can look plain. The best images are created through a careful interplay between what the makeup artist does with colors and tones and what the photographer does with lighting and posing to make your portraits captivating.

What is Airbrush Makeup and what are the advantages?

Airbrush makeup is a fine mist of foundation or color that is applied with air. Since the “brush” never touches your skin, it can be applied much more evenly and will produce a more natural yet flawless look. It is considered High Definition, and therefore looks amazing in high resolution photos.

What is included with Salon Hairstyling?

Salon hairstyling includes multiple hairstyles throughout your shoot. You will start at the salon for your first hairstyle, then your hairstylist will come with you on the shoot to provide additional hairstyles between outfits and to make sure each style stays perfect while it is photographed.

What is a Style Consultation?

For the Model and Pure Style experiences, your wardrobe choices will be made at your style consultation a few days before the shoot. You will bring your wardrobe selections to the studio where we will discuss and finalize each one, complete with shoes and all accessories. We will even pair outfit with a unique hairstyles suggested by your salon stylist. Then each we grab a quick snapshot of each one to use in our planning sheet that will be my guide as I finalize locations. This is a very important step that adds a lot of extra polish to your final images. You will then leave your outfits at the studio so everything is ready to go for much more efficient outfit changes on the day of the shoot, helping you to get even more out of your session.

What is Wardrobe Styling?

For the Pure Style experience only, you will be paired with a professional image consultant who will help you find the best outfits to match your style and body type so you can completely blow it out of the water on the day of your shoot. This is a significant step above the style consultation. Instead of just getting feedback on what you bring from home, you will get help choosing whole new outfits from local boutiques as well as help finding the best accessories for the outfits you already love.
